Gibellissima: tra arte, memoria e creativit\u00e0<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In recent days, activities related to the \u201cGibellina: Italian Capital of Contemporary Art 2026\u201d project have officially begun. The initiative is funded by the Department of Education, Vocational Training, Universities, and Student Rights of the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the projects supported by the call for proposals is \u201cGibellissima,\u201d a training program promoted by our Institute for school students. The initiative is designed to guide them in discovering contemporary art and Gibellina\u2019s cultural heritage. The project not only offers students the opportunity to explore a unique area\u2014rebuilt after the earthquake with the contribution of numerous artists\u2014but also helps them develop technical and professional skills through the creation of graphic and audiovisual materials dedicated to promoting the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 10, five classes from our Institute participated in an important training and discussion session. The event featured presentations by Prof. Lacagnina, an expert in contemporary art, and surveyor G. Pirrello, a historian and expert on Gibellina. The two speakers interwove artistic and historical perspectives, providing students with a comprehensive view of the cultural, identity-defining, and symbolic value of a city that has chosen to be reborn through beauty and culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This first meeting paved the way for the educational visit on 13 March, during which the participating classes enjoyed an immersive experience of Gibellina\u2019s iconic contemporary art sites. The students visited the MAC \u2013 Museum of Contemporary Art, the Museum of Mediterranean Textiles, and the striking Cretto by Burri, one of the world\u2019s largest examples of land art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the day, they took part in a photography competition, taking photos and filming videos that will form the basis for the next phase of the project, dedicated to the workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the coming weeks, a group of students from the Graphic Design and Communication course will be selected from all participating classes. With support from graphic design experts and professional director Gianpiero Pumo, they will create graphic designs and a multimedia audiovisual work dedicated to Gibellina and its extraordinary artistic heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These works will portray the town from a new perspective: a \u2018grassroots\u2019 narrative drawing on the stories, voices, and experiences of its inhabitants, capturing the true face of a community that has transformed memory into art and rebirth into identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An experience that blends art, history, creativity, and innovation, offering our students a vital opportunity for cultural and professional growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nei giorni scorsi hanno preso ufficialmente avvio le attivit\u00e0 legate al progetto \u201cGibellina Capitale Italiana dell\u2019Arte Contemporanea 2026\u201d, finanziato dall\u2019Assessorato dell\u2019Istruzione e della Formazione Professionale \u2013 Dipartimento dell\u2019Istruzione, dell\u2019Universit\u00e0 e del Diritto allo Studio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tra i progetti finanziati dal bando rientra anche \u201cGibellissima\u201d, il percorso formativo promosso dal nostro Istituto e rivolto agli studenti e alle studentesse della scuola. L\u2019iniziativa \u00e8 pensata per accompagnarli alla scoperta dell\u2019arte contemporanea e del patrimonio culturale della citt\u00e0 di Gibellina. Il progetto offre ai ragazzi non solo l\u2019opportunit\u00e0 di conoscere un territorio unico, ricostruito dopo il terremoto grazie al contributo di numerosi artisti, ma anche di sviluppare competenze tecnico-professionali attraverso la realizzazione di prodotti grafici e audiovisivi dedicati alla promozione del territorio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il 10 marzo cinque classi del nostro Istituto hanno partecipato a un importante momento di formazione e confronto. L\u2019incontro \u00e8 stato arricchito dagli interventi della prof.ssa Lacagnina, esperta di arte contemporanea, e del geom. G. Pirrello, storico e profondo conoscitore di Gibellina. I due relatori hanno intrecciato prospettive artistiche e storiche, offrendo agli studenti una visione completa del valore culturale, identitario e simbolico di una citt\u00e0 che ha scelto di rinascere attraverso la bellezza e la cultura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Questo primo appuntamento \u00e8 stato propedeutico alla visita didattica del 13 marzo, durante la quale le classi coinvolte hanno vissuto un\u2019esperienza immersiva nei luoghi simbolo dell\u2019arte contemporanea a Gibellina. Gli studenti hanno visitato il MAC \u2013 Museo d\u2019Arte Contemporanea, il Museo delle Trame Mediterranee e il suggestivo Cretto di Burri, uno dei pi\u00f9 grandi esempi di land art al mondo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nel corso della giornata gli studenti hanno partecipato ad un contest fotografico, realizzato scatti fotografici e riprese video, raccogliendo materiali che costituiranno la base per la successiva fase laboratoriale del progetto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nelle prossime settimane, tra tutte le classi partecipanti verr\u00e0 selezionato un gruppo ristretto di studenti dell\u2019indirizzo Grafica e Comunicazione che, affiancati da esperti di tecnica grafica e dal regista professionista Gianpiero Pumo, lavoreranno alla realizzazione di prodotti grafici e di un audiovisivo multimediale dedicato a Gibellina e al suo straordinario patrimonio artistico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I lavori racconteranno la citt\u00e0 attraverso uno sguardo originale: una narrazione \u201cdal basso\u201d, che partir\u00e0 dalle storie, dalle voci e dalle esperienze degli abitanti, per restituire il volto autentico di una comunit\u00e0 che ha trasformato la memoria in arte e la rinascita in identit\u00e0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un\u2019esperienza che unisce arte, storia, creativit\u00e0 e innovazione, offrendo ai nostri studenti un\u2019importante occasione di crescita culturale e professionale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
